Same Thing Again is a charm in Assassin aka Agent Sasco’s growing gallery of reggae and dancehall music. The song reflects on the recurring nature of events in the lives of people from the ghetto who are struggling to survive.
It makes reference to social problems like teenage pregnancy and the ever present effects of negativity triggering a chain of events where one thing leads to the next. Same Thing Again also mocks some of the sterotyped reactions to people of a lower social class.
The video for the song directed by Ras Kassa of The Guru Films transmits the mood of the song very well with clever use of photography and lighting.
